ChainBreakers Ministries is a prophetic deliverance ministry, exercising the call to go and preach the Gospel and make disciples. A ministry of grace, mercy, and deliverance, CBM is here to declare and manifest the truth that there is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain.
STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
The Bible is the God breathed/inspired Word of God. It was given by God through holy men of old, preserved by God as it is established forever in Heaven. The Bible consists of 66 books, 39 books of the Old Testament, and 27 of the New Testament. There is no addition to these books, thus we reject in totality the Apocryphal books as unpreserved. All doctrine and practice, all order in the Church and in the life of the believer is to be aligned with the doctrine and teachings found in the pages of the Scripture.
There is only one God eternally manifested as God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one. God has revealed His holiest and most powerful saving name to us through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the name of Jesus. Jesus is the name the Father gave to the Son when He sent Him to pay the price for our sins.
JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He is the only begotten of the Father. before the world was, He is. By Him was creation made, and without Him nothing was made. He came manifested in the flesh as the Seed of David, born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a holy and sinless life. He paid the price in full for all our sins through His death on the Cross. This was testified to when He was raised by the Holy Spirit by God the Father. All power in Heaven and earth was given unto Him. He now sits at the Father’s, the Majesty’s on high, right hand as our eternal High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, ever living to make intercession for us. He will return in like manner as he ascended into heaven, literally and visibly. He is now and forever King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and will one day Judge all the earth.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the very Spirit of God, the very breath of God, the Ruach HaKodesh. He is the Convicter, the Comforter, the Regenerator, the Empowering One, and gives gifts in operation in the Church. He is the Spirit of truth that leads and guides us into all truth according to the Word of God.
FALLEN MAN’S NEED OF SALVATION
The Scriptures teach that man was originally made in the image of God. Through deception, man disobeyed God and sin fell into all humanity born of man and woman. The Bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that the wages of sin is death, eternal separation from God in Hell. The Father sent His Son to pay the ultimate price for our sins, for man was unable to save himself from the penalty of sin. Man was and is completely insufficient and unable to save himself, so Jesus came and made the only way to be saved by grace through faith.
TRUE BIBLE SALVATION
True Bible salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone according to Acts 2:38. In order to be saved, one must by grace through faith repent of their sins, by grace through faith be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins, and by grace through faith receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 does not contain the works of the Law, doe snot contain the works of man, but is salvation by grace through faith. It is the only way of salvation. All other references to salvation in the epistles was written to those who had already been saved by grace through faith in Christ according to Acts 2:38.
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the empowering of believers to live the life of a witness of christ, and is part of salvation. Jesus said we must be born of water (baptism in Jesus name) and the Spirit (baptism of the Holy Spirit). The initial evidence of Holy Ghost/Spirit baptism is the manifestation of speaking in a heavenly language, also known as an unknown tongue, as the Spirit gives utterance. It is this baptism that empowers us to live the life of a believer that Jesus Christ purchased for us through His finished work on the Cross.
THE CHURCH IDENTIFIED
The Church is identified as all who are born again according to the Bible. The Church is the Bride of Christ, the Israel of God under the New Covenant, the Elect. The Church is neither Jewish or gentile, but is one Body of many members all over the world. The Church is a Bride presented to christ before the Father without spot or wrinkle.
THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Scriptures detail that the Holy Spirit gives gifts of the Spirit to the Church for the edification of the saints, the Body, and evangelism. While some believe that these nine gifts have ceased, the Scriptures teach us that these gifts will continue in operation until when that which is perfect comes, which refers to the Second Coming of Christ. The nine gifts of the Spirit in operation are: the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healings, the working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, various kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues
THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRY
The Scripture establishes order for the ministry in the Church. There are five offices/callings of ministry within the Church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. The ministry is “for the equipping of the saints, for the work of service, and for the building up of the body of Christ, until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, into a complete man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so we may no longer be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men, by craftiness with deceitful scheming.”
The Scriptures are very clear about the order of ministry, that the Pastor/Bishop of the Church is to be male on role. A woman has never been called to be a Pastor according to Scripture. A woman cannot be the husband of one wife, only a man can. The Bible teaches that women are not to be in leadership in the establishing of doctrine and practice according to the Word of God in the Church.
HOLINESS AND HOLY LIVING
The Bible teaches us that without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. Holiness is imputed to the believer at the point of conversion. It is the result of the Holy Spirit manifesting the life of holiness through a truly repentant heart. We are made holy by Jesus christ. All believers are. However, we are called and commanded to be holy. We are known by our fruit, and as such, if the fruit manifested is not holy, then that person is not born again. Holiness brings forth holy living.
TITHES AND OFFERINGS
The modern practice of tithing is not biblical. In fact, it is impossible now for anyone to biblically pay tithes. the tithes were under the Old Covenant, were specifically to the support of the Aaronic priesthood and the Levites. The Church has never and will never be commanded to pay tithes, and those who command such are out of order. The financial support of the work of making disciples, of evangelizing, of the Church is only to be through Spirit led, cheerful, willing giving as laid on the heart, not grudgingly or compelled, because God loves a cheerful giver.
THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST
The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is returning again just like He said He was. It will be literal, visible, and immediately after the tribulation of those days, at the last trump. On that day, the trump shall descend, and the Lord shall descend. Those who have fallen asleep, or died in faith will be raised first, and then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air. So shall we ever be with the Lord. We reject all escapist theology and all theologies about this that do not align with the Scripture. Prepare to meet the Lord.
THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE
While the governments of this world have legalized all forms of gay marriage, we hold that marriage is a sacred sacrament of the Church, to be strictly between one man and one woman. All forms of gay marriage are openly rejected as both unbiblical and unaccepted by authority of the Word of God. Marriage was ordained by God, ordered by God, according to the Word of God, and it is only between one man and one woman. In the Church, a man or woman who is single is to only marry a believer.
